Subject: Modifying a Dometic Refrigerator in an 84 Westy
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

Hi all, I need the advice of some of the Refrig experts on the list. I am going to try and increase the efficiency of the Dometic frig. in my 84 Westy. I have read that some people add a computer fan to the coils on the back of the refrigerator. I am planning on doing that, What I am wondering is should I disconnect the stock fan and mount the computer fan in its place? Or perhaps should I try and keep them both? Would two computer fans be better then one? Perhaps one on the top coil and one on the bottom coil? Does this modification really make a difference? Also is there any truth to the rumor that by turning the refrigerator upside down for a period of time before re-installing it that sometimes efficiency is increased? Thank you all for any help you can give me I really appreciate it!
