Bonjour Ben,

>Hey VW maniaco grandio friendo, >........... >(I never tried last year!! I am so damn scared of having propane running in >my van when I away from the van or sleeping and the sucker is so small that >anyway I need a cooler)

It holds more than you think.....we use a small soft sided cooler for extra space and for picnicing.

>............. >I tighten the propane conduct for safety but what else can I do, or what >are the danger apart from the pilot flame going off.

There's a thermocouple/relay type doohickey that turns the propane off if the flame goes out. If you've checked all your fittings to make sure you're leak free then you're good to go with no worries. When we're travelling the fridge runs on propane 24/7 for weeks at a time.....never a problem.

Come to think of it I've never heard of any bad/dangerous stories about the fridge on the list --- does anyone have any??? All you ever hear is the *&^*&^ing thing won't light/stay lit..........and I suspect there are a lot of people like me whose fridges work just fine.

Cheers, Doug
