If you check the national census you will find that most of the population of the entire contiguous USA is located along the coastal regions. Center of the US is fairly sparsely populated.

I live in Birmingham, AL and theough the Vans are here, I go weeks without seeing one. Birmingham has over a million people here but it is not that popular of a vehicle except with a handful of automotive masochists. And of those, only one is a list member that I know of..... and thats me.

Out of the whole state of Alabama there are only a couple of other V'gon owners/list members. Joel Walker in Tuscaloosa, and one other in Montgomery who recently put an inline 4banger in his rig.

East of here in Atlanta, there are quite a few more.
