Downsizing a bit doesn't bug me as much as the later part. I fear I am in a minority in this country who doesn't feel that it's the plastic acoutraments that make the vehicle. Heck all I have is a tape deck. I'm more curious about the driveline, ground clearance, and suspesion. Might even get to the point of looking up an old Aerostar or Astro..never a caravan unless they build one that can carry people and stuff without bottoming out...though maybe mercedes will....nah... :oD JT Tromper Primitivist and driver of a 1982 Dieselfant II "The Manatee"
**SNIP** so if you want a "larger" vw passenger van, buy a EV now...otherwise in a few years you'll get stuck with a minivan that's no bigger than a dodge caravan, with a sorry attempt at retro styling on the body.. VW sure it working hard to transition themselves into a different market.. practicality and utilitarianism has been replaced by leather seats and DVD players.. whatever happened to the people's car? someone needs to slap Ferdinand with a wet noodle.. chris |
