I JUST replaced the bushings 5000 mi. ago. The originals squeaked when cold, and they did that since I bought the car, new. The new ones, that I JUST put in, squeak when hot. they started squeaking after about 200 mi. (Seems I've heard that somewhere before. . . Hmmm. . . It was on Vanagon .com) A book that I saw in the library called "1001 fixes", or something like that, suggested putting in a grease fitting and greasing them up. Yea, I thought about the grease dissolving the rubber, but what's the alternative? Replacing them every time I fill-up? Maybe I could use silicon grease or something. I thought you guy's would have some simmilar experience. Thanks for your help. ~Dan |
