Pack them front brearings until all the old grease is replaced with new clean grease oozing out between the rollers---load up the spindles with grease too--

How tight is that spindle nut supose to be?

Tight enough to drag, and then back it off a tad, so the hub just spins free----

It seems as though, you are the axle and brake guy here this fine Sunday morning----

How do you tell when you have the front wheel bearings tight enough? Also, how much grease should you pack in with the bearings? SHould you grease the spindle with gobs - or just a thin coat? thanks, Todd '88 Vanagon
