Subject: request for Sandy, Oregon mechanic(again)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I am putting out this request again in case anyone missed it. I am looking for the thumbs up on Sandy,Oregon mechanic Bob at "Pat's Imports". I want to have my van totally rebuilt and he is the most logistically convenient. Anybody? Could anyone in the area ask other mechanics about him for me? I tried to research him on the net and found nothing. He is an older guy way out in the country. Been at it since 1963. He also sends a lot of VW engine up here to Alaska for gold dredging operations, which I found interesting. Sorry for the repeat. I have a 1986 Westy Syncro that needs the engine rebuilt amongst many other things.

Also, I am interested in the topic about head gasket leaks as I replace or rebuild this engine(Bob would want to rebuild). Coolant or bad design? I'll keep reading before I have a good question. I want to make sure I treat the van right after all this work.
