Hi Brian,

I purchased a VW Canada exchange engine through a U.S. dealer. The front crankshaft oil seal began leaking and I took it with my receipt to another U.S. VW dealer and they replaced the leaking seal. Aside from that the motor has run flawlessly.

I should point out that I had to call VW customer relations twice, the dealer treated me with the usual Vanagon owner, 2nd class citizenship and the exhaust system was reinstalled incorrectly with fasteners missing. The engine quality is great the dealer attitude really stinks!!!! I would buy another VW Canada motor in a heartbeat but I willl only deal with VW dealers (Scottsdale AZ excluded) as a very last resort!!!!

Regards, John
