Tom and others, thank you for your advice. I got both cylinder heads off and am cleaning things. The passenger one has two black valves (from deposits) and the drivers side has one black and one white valve for each cylinder. I wonder why??

One thing I'm having problems with. I actually loosened my water pump and took it a little bit off the studs. I couldn't access the third lower bolt with that big pulley in the way, so I just tightened it back up. Do I need to take off the pump and put new sealant on it? Your page mentions to put a thin coat on the o-ring and I can't get access to this unless I take off the pump. I don't want to do this unless I have to now (feeling lazier than yesterday). Things would be easier if I took off the pulley crank.. I guess it's a bear to get off and on?

I'm going to order some seals now for the weekend. Do I need to buy all the seals for the waterpump too or can I just reuse the existing seals.
