Yesiree Bob. It's Friday. It was when you sent your reply and it is now. Speaking of which, have you ever heard of Pat from SNL? Well, is our Patrice a PAT or a PAT? At 5'-8" that's not so tall for a man unless you are me. I certainly do not have any trouble getting in and out of my various Vanagons (RVC). At 5'-8" as a woman, I imagine I would have no trouble getting in and out of the van either but I would not consider myself a midget woman then. So there Mr. BB Mike. Friday and Vanagon related too.

BTW, I get in by placing my left foot on the step. Left hand on steering wheel. Weight on left and lift body with right foot just swinging under wheel. Then I slide right onto the seat.
