Subject: Westfalia Rear Overhead Cabinet In Later Models?
Content-Type: text/plain

Greetings Vanagonites -

I will eventually get around to purchasing a westy this year. Just waiting for the right one. This is a bit nit-picky, but I want one without a/c, and I am wondering this: Were some late model westies (88-91) made without a/c? I haven't seen the later models with the rear overhead cabinet. I never use a/c, and I wouldn't want to put extra strain on an engine that already has to pull over 5000 pounds of weight. The extra storage is nice too. Thanks for clearing this up. I'll be visiting Southern Cal for a month in July, so maybe I'll find a good one there.
