Don't let the a/c factor stop you from getting the best Westie. If you find the right one otherwise buy it and disconnect the a/c. The storage space is minumal and if you really need it yank the coil and hoses from the top. However, if you are planning on using the westie to travel and want to not have to shower or feel like you have to shower every day the lower humidity provided by a/c is a big plus. In a westie you never really get a cold blast of air, just a cool dry environment. Interesting how stopping and starting changes the air masses in the vehicle.

Cheers, Mark 87 Westie 93 Cabrio 99 Passat
