At this time (and I hope NOT for long)! I have everything removed down to the uni-body, on the underside of the bus. I am replacing everything, including the springs, bushings, ball joints, shocks, etc... I am glass blasting every part, then painting them with POR 15 base and a second coat of top coat. should last longer than this old hippy ! I also took different sized wire wheels, and really worked the underside of the bus. Removing all of the dirt, old loose undercoating, etc., then applied an oil base roofing compound. Messy as hell but looks good, and once again, should outlast me and the rest of the bus. I would like to thank the person who said to use RTV for a lubricant to install the bushings with. Made a big difference! If anyone needs the bushing installation tools, give me a buzz and I can ship them out. Happy trails, & get out of the city !!! John C. SLC, UT 85 Westaru... |
