My Dometic 182B refrigerator in my Westy blows out every time I drive anywhere, even at 30-40 MPH. I have already followed most of the advice at the Vanagon.com website including: Removed the unit and cleaned it. Vacuumed out the two vent pipes. Cleaned out the burner, reassembling, and caulking around the seam with silicon caulk. Checked the gas pressure. It was 11.4 inches, as it should be. Soaked the jet in alcohol overnight and blew through it. On examination with a magnifier, it appears to be very clean and undamaged. I have not attempted to equalize the length of the two vent pipes as suggested at the Vanagon.com website. Has anyone had success with this? Does anyone have any other suggestions to keeping it lit while driving? Thanks, Paul |
