The green stuff is called "Right Stuff" its basically
phosforic acid. I keep it in a spray bottle becouse if
ferric oxide(rust) gets into the bottle it spoils it.
Try to get every last bit of loose rust out. Right
Stuff when dry, leaves behind "Protective Barrier"
but this
"barrier" stays gummy and primer dont stick to it well
IMO.
There is even better stuff avaliable and its called
"Oxisolv-Degreaser/rust remover" It does NOT leave
behind a gummy film like Right Stuff. Oxisolv is what
POR-15 buys and re-lables as "Metal Prep" And is alot
cheaper than what POR-15 sells.
