In my '85 Wolfsburg Westy with A/C the back speakers mount exactly like the fronts they're just a little tougher to get to. I removed the A/C grill and wiggled my hand back in there to get to the collar. I found it much easier to unplug the speaker leads and unscrew the speaker itself while anchoring the collar.
