Subject: propane regulator hisses
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

When I opened my '86 Westy's LP valve this weekend I discovered that the regulator was letting out gas through the sieve like opening on top of the piece. I suspect this indicates replacement of the part (looking at the list archives, I assume it's a Marshall Brass 290 to be had at RV stores for less than $20) but would like to confirm with y'all...

In retrospect, there seem to be some indications that there is a problem with the regulator or valves. A while back, the burners did not work and I took the tank to be refilled only to discover it was still half full. Subsequently, the burners worked but I could not light the fridge. Last time I used the burners and the fridge, everything worked fine (fridge lit on the first try!!) and now the hissing gas leak from the regulator...

thanks for any wisdoms in advance! h.
