I found my freon leak when I pulled out of the garage one day and found a small puddle of orange oil on the floor. It turned that the hose from the compressor to the condenser had been spliced just above the transaxle last time the compressor was replaced. I ended up replacing all of the hoses since this is my daily transportation and is undriveable without A/C here in Florida. I also changed to R-134a after I changed hoses and am very satisfied with the performance of the A/C in my camper.

I would feel around all of the connectors in the system to see if there is any evidence of oil on them. Chances are, there is an o-ring leaking somewhere.

Good luck,
