If you're like me, you would want to conserve all the interior space possible when on a trip or camp out. I would suggest just hanging the bike on a carrier attached to the rear hatch. I did this with a full size 26 inch mountain bike on my trip to New Mexico, and it worked like a charm. ...And I just used a plain vanilla bike carrier from Wal-Mart that I picked up for around $30.
