Oh yeah, I have.. Called owning a VW. Sorta one of the wonderful German engineering specs. I guess safety concern too. It's called ALL vanagon's do that. To show ya. Insert key, turn to 'on' position. Litely turn the key to turn the negine over, and stop!, but don't let the engine start. The ignition should smack the key back to the 'on' position. Now try to start it again. Nothing should happen. Wounderful. Freaks soem ppl out. Typical engeneering.. LOL Have fun.
