Subject: Foglight switch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Guys,

I recently obtained one of the VW OEM foglight switches (direct from the Fatherland) which my auto electrician, and president of Club VeeDub (www.clubvw.org.au) is going to use to switch on/off a pair of Bosch spot lights I plan to install on the WBX... I do a lot of night time country driving and I'd like to do my best to not blitz any more or our unique wildlife.

Now...the right-hand side of my instrument cluster currently only has the hazzard light switch installed (in the middle position) and the blanks are either side...or up & down if you like.

So...am I correct in thinking that the fog light switch generally goes in the lower or bottom position? I haven't seen one installed but seem to recall some mention of this sometime in the past...

...and this got me thinking...what OEM accessory uses the remaining blank position...heated rear window? heated seats? cone of silence? (ahh if only...:)

Thanks for any info... Steve 0 Blue Mountains NSW '92 Transporter WBX Kombi '76 Transporter Double Cab '68 Beetle '00 Transporter 5Cyl Double Cab (work truck)
