The opening on the rear sliding windows in the SA Caravelle is taller than the US and European Vanagons (T3's). I suppose you could either make the hole bigger or just get someone to cut he window in size. Why I don;t know why noone has cut a regular slider to fit in that slanted opening. Could it be because we are all inherently afraid that someone sticking the their head outside that window may get decapitated by the careless operation of the sliding door?

As for the person who suggested Type 3 pop-outs, the glass is not really where the flexing happens. They come in a metal frame much like the old splittie pop-out windows. (yes for you Physics types, I know the glass flexes a bit too)

One local listrmember has cut down a side slider into a mini slider for his double cab. With a little bit more effort, he may be able to do a rear slider. Hmmm.... Stacy are you reading this? Damn, I just saw him sign-off on AOL.
