Thanks! We've been working hard to improve our service in general; many of our "growing pains" are now a thing of the past, I think. It's nice to hear that we're doing well. So many people are quick to complain, but never take the trouble to praise when they're happy with their service.

No. The "kit" is merely the switch, bulb holder, and bulb. Believe it or not, they're sold separately by VW; if you order the "switch" you only get the switch itself but no bulb or holder. (VW used to sell the same "kit" that we sell, here in the U.S., but they deleted it. You can still piece it together, but it's pricy.) As fas as a relay, any off-the-shelf generic relay will work fine, of course, provided that it's rated sufficiently for the application.

Not sure of the recommended wattage. As far as connection, personally I think I would run a direct (fused) lead from the battery to the input of the relay, for maximum performance, and use a "switched" lead (one that's only on when the ignition is on) as the relay trigger, run through the fog light switch. This way, you would have manual control of the fog lights, but even if you forgot to turn off them off when you left the van, they would shut off with the engine.
