First: It has an O ring seal that goes between the Sandwich plate and the OEM filter mount, if you don't have one - get one. Second, the sandwich plate has an oil bypass port set to a higher pressure than the OEM port in the filter mount. The OEM port in the filter mount needs to be blocked off with a small freeze plug. I see that I've saved you hours of frustration and heartache.
