Dave, I went to the Oregonion site and got the address of those Passat articles. Very informative....and pricey car, eh!? Bob '91 Westy

The Portland Oregonian had a write up in Saturdays paper about the new VW Passat, and it's new 8 cylinder engine, fit into the same space the older 6 cyl. They had some nice diagrams, and went on at length about the new car and how nice it is. Dunno if the old Passat engine would fit in a vanagon, but if this new 8 cyl can fit in same space as the old 6, perhaps it could too. I don't doubt it would be a lot of work, and expense, but it is kind of nice to think about... Anyhow, good article, and a very nice, powerful car.
