Hi, The hand brake light doubles as a low fluid light too. I ran my Vanagon for quite some time with a random appearing, flickering hand brake light. It would be on, and then I would take the hand brake off, and it would go out.... sometimes. Other times it would continue to stay on, but flicker as I drove... but stayed mostly off. I thought it was a loose contact in the hand brake switch or something similiar. Found out (luckily) that the fluid was leaking out at the cylinder, and had it repaired. I wish that VW made it more clear that the "brake warning light" was more important than just a hand brake light. RSF <º)))>{ <º)))>{ <º)))>{ <º)))>{ <º)))>{ <º)))>{ Robert S.
