Subject: Help! I need an ADDCO front sway bar...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

....and ADDCO won't make any until things slow down in the fall unless they get at least two more orders! (Three are currently on order, are the other two also for list members?)

I added front and rear ADDCO bars to my '68 high top years ago, and they were great. Now I want to correct the understeer in my '84 Westy, and I'd prefer to replace the front bar with an ADDCO with urethane bushings rather than simply replace the worn stock bushings and hope for some improvement.

So, if any of you out there are thinking about this modification, now is the time to take the plunge and be ready for the summer driving season!

See www.addco.net for info. This month the price is $189 complete, and will go up 10% July 1st. With two or more orders we can push to get into next month's production run.

The front bar is a replacement for the stock bar, except it's 1" vs. the 7/8" stock, and I prefer urethane over rubber bushings from past experience. The Vanagon's large rubber sway bar bushings get particularly mushy after 100,000 miles or so.

I've already installed an ADDCO rear bar (which they did have in stock), and can provide some tips for any of you who decide to do the same.

(Usual disclaimers apply, I have no connection to ADDCO.)

Thanks!

Stuart MacMillan
