Subject: facts on carfax or autocheck

Tony, Carfax clearly gives you more information than auto check. At the time I signed up for carfax they had a 2 month unlimited useage for 20 bucks. This is available only once a year per billing address. After the two months it is 15 dollars per report. Autocheck has a two month service but it is limited to twenty reports. Autocheck reports have not been as detailed as carfax. Usually they do not track the vehicle back as many years. If you are in the market for a used car start with carfax. If the two month runs out as it did for me move to autocheck but once you find one you are going to buy I would double check it with carfax as they will have additional information. Oddly enough carfax and autocheck were not able to identify that a vanagon in service in California for the last six years had Texas plates so always ask the seller the state that the vehicle is registered and titled? hope this helps, gary --- mourkas@appleisp.net, UNEXPECTED_DATA_AFTER_ADDRESS@.SYNTAX-ERROR. wrote: > Gary, > > I noticed that you have been forwarding vehicle > history reports to the > Vanagon List periodically.
