Subject: For those that refuse to buy $800 gas tanks
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

"Eastwoood" gas tank sealer: http://www.eastwoodco.com/cgi-bin/sgsh0101.exe "POR-15" Gas tank sealer: http://www.easycarts.net/ecarts/PermanentRestorationProducts/FUEL_TANK_SEALERS.html#TSQ "Hirsh" Gas tank sealer: http://www.hirschauto.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=27&Product_ID=6&CATID=3 "Hirsh" Gas tank etcher: http://www.hirschauto.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=27&Product_ID=7&CATID=3 Epoxy Gas tank Sealer(THE ONLY TWO PART EPOXY SYSTEM THAT I KNOW OF): http://www.caswellplating.com/frames.php?bottom=/epoxygas.htm

I Just removed my gas tank and it has very fine rust dust on the inside walls. I dont want to buy a new "Made in Taiwan" gas tank thats been poorly painted/coated, and I also dont want to buy an $800 VW OEM/dealer gas tank.

SO I think Im left with only one option, and thats restoring the old tank. I think Ill use the Oxysolve (just Like POR-15 metal ready) then Ill let dry and coat with the two part Epoxy listed above, since Epoxy sticks to anything and is tough as nails. Ill post the results.
