I agree - I had an 82 til late last year. In today's freeway traffic you just can't keep up - not even close. 55-60mph is best to run at freeway speed but more than that you're really pushing it. I did get 28-30mpg, which is nice.

--------------------------------- I have seen many entries on changing a gasoline engine to a diesel, but none on the other way around. I would much prefer a diesel (so I can convert it to greasel) and am wondering why no-one seems to want the VW diesel. Is there a problem with these engines?
