I think I will try this method. I talked to the electronics instructor at the school where I work about electrically reducing output. He said a solid state voltage regulator would probably be the ticket, and only a couple $ in parts. Then I could use a switch to have 2 speeds of water. But someone else said that running the pump on lower voltage would probably do more damage to it than just restricting the hose. Also hard to pass up the cheap fix...
