Subject: radiator hose
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

The piping on my 84 vanagon is rusting out. My mechanic suggests that I fit it with 1 1/4 inch radiator hose. My concern is that the hose will be broken up by any debris that hits it. Has anyone done this before? I called NAPA and the sell the hose in a 50' box for about $180.00. They told me that if I can use a 1" hose the cost will be much cheaper. Will the 1" fit?

Any help is appriciated. Thanks, Sean
