Problems/issues:
Van was hit in the front right corner by original owner, title is
"salvage". This has not caused any problems for me and the damage (was
done to left front corner) is not visible in any way.
There is a silver-dollar sized rust spot in the corner of one of the
rear side windows.
Needs a CV joint (clicks).
Front windscreen has a crack.
Will take $1850 for this van. If you have priced just the engine
recently you know this is a great deal.
1983 Volkswagen Westfalia Vanagon
Water cooled
186,000 miles (mileage on engine unknown).
Trans rebuilt approximately 12K miles ago.
CV joints (axles) replaced.
Nearly new Michelin MX radials (high load capacity)
Engine runs strong (no leaks)
New water pump
New front and rear engine main seals
All camper equipment is intact
Sink
Refrigerator
Stove
Beds
Includes all screens for windows
Includes full curtain set
Interior in good condition
Needs rear brakes soon and thermostat replaced (I have the new
thermostat).
Needs seal around lower edge of pop top.
Asking $1100.
Can send photos via email to interested parties. Vans are in northern
California (near San Jose). Please contact me off-list for further
