The relay only interrupts the 12 volt heater for the fridge. The fan will still work to support the fridge operating on propane when the van is parked. If the van gets hot enough inside when parked, the fried fan will turn on even wit the fridge off. Dennis

Hi all, 90 syncro westy. My fridge has always worked fine on 110V AC and 12V DC. Recently, it doesnt' seem to get cold on the DC setting when I'm driving. Also, this past weekend, when I had stopped and shut off the engine, I could hear what sounded like a refrigerator compressor running. Since it's not supposed to run when the alternator's not putting out juice, I suspected the relay. Is there an easy way to test, and are there other things I should be looking at? tx, bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...." |
