If you have a camper, the refrigerator relay will also turn the light on with the alternator disconnected. The alternator has to actually be charging for the relay to energize the refrigerator.

Known good 65a alternator. Problem is that the circuit from the idiot light is grounded somewhere. (Key on, light on. Unplug alt, key on, light on. Bentley says grounded circuit.) Anyone have any good ideas where might be a good place to start looking?
