Funniest thing happened: driving across the Casco Bay Bridge today the gas pedal goes to the floor without the rpms going up and then the pedal just sits there like some floppy ol thing. Throttle cable broke right at the throttle body, with just the clamped-end stub left on the throttle valve. Metal fatigue. Since I absolutely positively am leaving for a fishing trip tomorrow night, I need a coupla things: quick access to the replacement part and any tips from people who have done this before that will help me make the repair the one-hour breeze I know it should be. Bentley's seems to skip the topic altogether. Thanks in advance, Ed Carroll 87 Weekender |
