Well said. A few years back, locals couldn't understand why our city council actively discouraged WalMart from building here. They ended up putting their store in another little town about 45 minutes away, and small businesses here (including mine) are still doing fine. WalMart might seem cheap, but keep in mind that you have to buy their stuff using your new, much lower income.
