"Was in Pep Boys or something like that today and saw that Audiovox has re-released its BA-100 / BA-200 series bass speakers. This is a powered 8" sub in a tube. Makes a HUGE difference in sound quality. You splice this in to two speaker outs (preferably rear). Fits nicely behind passenger seat. Does a awesome job of clarifying sound.... Nothing comes even close for upgrading your sound for the $$$." I'm interested in improving the sound in my newly-acquired '87 Westy and wondered if I may ask a couple of follow up questions to your post? First, am I correct in assuming that the rear speaker outs are located in the back of the in-dash stereo unit? Second, if that's correct, what would be the best way to route wire from the deck to the bass speaker location you suggested (behind the passenger seat?) -Al '87 Westy |
