There's lots of instances of the buzzer in the archives, and several people I trust (i.e. VolksCafe) have mentioned that lots of vanagons have marginally low oil pressure. Some theorize it's Fram filters, which I eliminated. Some say 20W50, which I have done. The heat has definitely been the change this time around. Hmmmm...... Anyway, several have responded to me that they've had good success with 40W in summer in hot temps, so I think that's my next step. An oil pressure gauge was also suggested, and seems like a good idea. Does anyone have a good source for VDO guages? tx, bmc :) "Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...."

Uh...I've never heard of the "usual" buzzer going off on decelleration when hot, nor have I seen it in ever in any of the four vanagons I know on a daily basis. Sounds like a problem to me.
