The Westy propane tanks came 2 ways. In the mid eighties they came with an Auto Stop fill valve. These have some failure prone o-rings as the only thing keeping the propane in the tank, even with the valves closed. Earlier and later models came with much more reliable standard fill and bleed valves. If you have the Auto Stop type you can try replacing the o-rings but this fix has never lasted for me. Replacing the hokey fill and bleed valves with standard parts is a simple, cheap, and more reliable fix in my experience. Mark Scotia Westy wrote: > > OK.
