Oregon has a similar law. The intent is good. Many people top off after the pump shuts off, and often spill some gas on the ground. To try to prevent this, they only allow "trained" people to pump the gas. Trouble is, training will not make you a mechanically inclined car lover if you weren't already. I few hours of training cannot make up for a lifetime spent ignoring everything but the radio controls. Bill
