I got the muffler straps from Bow-Wow in Surrey, BC and the carrier that mount beneath the muffler from Ken Wilfey's Van-Again in Millville, NJ. the part numbers are 025 251 519F, 025 251 520F for the carriers, a left a right. The carriers were $55 USD each, and the straps were $19 (Canadian). The parts are hard to find, but they are out there. I bought my muffler from Bus Depot, in PA, $109. It developed a hole from the old rusted carrier rubbing on it, but they promptly sent me a new one to exchange fro the old one. I have no idea what it would cost to ship back the old one, so I plan to take a trip to PA to return, and then take the kids to Dorney Park. Another excuse to take the Vanagon on a road trip.
