Hello all, I have an 86 Westy, and I've worked hard replacing o-rings and dryer, and checking the hoses.... I think the AC system is sound. I'm all ready to have a VW mechanic and friend pump it down for me. The question I have is how much Ester oil, and refrigerant the 86 needs... It has a Sanden-508 compressor. I've gone to the Sanden web site and they say roughtly 5 percent less than with R-12. If I've done the math right, that's about 47 ounces. Plus 3.3 ounces of oil. I'd appreciate a few words of advice! I want to make sure I get it right the first time! Thanks in advance!

:-)
