AAA, Mc Donald's (sometimes). Giant Eagle Super Market, Heinen's Super Markets, Tops Friendly Markets. Grew up in Twinsburg, close to Geauga Lake (now Six Flags).. Cedar Point is well worth the trip. Since I was 16 until I moved to NJ, I drove there quite a bit!! Also instead of staying in Sandusky right near the park, take advantage of the many camping and less expensive hotels west of the park in the nearby Port Clinton area. If you are Military, Camp Perry is nearby with cheap and quality quartering. (As long as there is not NRA shoot that weekend, then it is crowded).

Avoid traffic, if coming from the east on the Turnpike, get off at Elyria/Lorain, and take SR 2 west, instead of Turnpike exit 7. Much faster.

For another Vanagon adventure nearby, you can take your Vanagon to Put-In-Bay on South Bass Island. There is a state park with camping there plus lodging. You and also take a boat to Pelee Island, Ontario, or on to Point Pelee/Leamington Ontario.

Have a good time,

Tim 90 Vanagon GL Barnegat, NJ, where we drive on the Parkway and park in the driveway
