You need a belt measuring gage. I'll sell you mine for $99.95 with list discount or else you can roll your own. Get an old (or new, for that matter) belt which is much longer but the same cross-section as the belt you need to replace. Cut it. Thread it around the sheaves as tautly as possible and note the amount of overlap at the ends. Subtract the amount of overlap from the original size marked on the belt and, whammo!, you can tell the parts guy what size belt you need. It is probably better to subtract the overlap from the stated size than to measure the length because the sizing of v-belts seems to be somewhat nominal. Also, adjust all the auxiliary stuff so that they are at their minimum. This will give you some Kentucky windage on your measurement and also allow you to tension the belt once it has taken a set.
