Hello everyone: an having a problem with the fuel gauge on my 1984 Westy. Actually it has never worked for the 2 years that I have owned the van.The gauge reads below empty no matter how mugh gas is in the tank.Have done some troubleshooting with these results. Can make gauge work at instument cluster by putting voltage directly to fuel gauge contacts.Unplugged 2 wire connector at gas tank and with key on couldn"t find any 12 volts at either terminal. The sending unit looks okand seems to operate properly when testing with an ohmmeter.Any help or advice would be appreciated. I have no Bentley manual which could be of assistance for wiring diagrams. Thank's in advance. Jeff 1984 Westy in Winnipeg |
