As part of my recent WBX project, i installed 1.25 ratio rockers from fast german auto. It seems that the rockers are causing oil consumption i deem excessive. I know that a few others have experienced this. I shimmed the rockers per FGA instructions, and used custom cut push rods. The geometry seemed to be what it should be. It was not radically off or anything. Any ideas on what may be causing this? It does not appear to be wear related. The valve guides where checked when the heads were done at the machine shop and they were in great shape (only 35k miles on them). Are they now ruined by my sloppy installation? i sure hope not! Have others with rockers NOT experienced increased oil consumption? Thanks. Steve |
