Somewhere on your van there should be a on/off switch sometimes called a valet switch. If your van does not have one it would be a good idea to install one on a dash out of the way place. I have one on mine but it is also associated with the alarm system. Handy when leaving your van with a repair place that does not want to mess with the alarm going off. William
