Hi List, This is the last time I'll bother y'all with this, but I have one more question.. Having spoken with dealers ($3000) and a couple of reputable repair shops ($1100-1700,) I called my brother in Baton Rouge (modified A3 Jetta owner) and he happens to have a 2.0 head, in perfect condition, sitting in his garage. He is going to ship it to me and I'm going to replace the damned thing myself. Thanks to all who gave me recommendations for repair shops in Denver--I talked to some good folks, but the cost is more than I expected. My question is, does anybody know of a good source of info on the web concerning this procedure on a 2.0, as far as some in's and out's of what to expect, etc. similar to Tom's and Ben's excellent procedure pages? I can't find a thing. Thanks again for your help--apparently it's a crisis like this that builds character and automotive knowledge, right??
