I would like to take a minute to thank everyone on the Vanagon.com for helping me with my CV joint replacment in my 1988 Weekender. I used a soft metal hammer to hammer off the old cv's off the shaft without any problem except for the stubborn first one. I poured plenty of Liquid Wrench into it and let it soaked. Then it finally popped off after a good half hour of rotary-hammering. After installation of new cv joints and boots, my Weekender rode very smoothly at 80mph on freeway, in comparing to 60mph with annoying vibration in the rear end... Thanks again everyone!!!
